Gail Porter Fashion Week

Gail Porter Makes her Fashion Debut at LFW with Fashion Plus Magazine

Scottish TV Presenter Gail Porter will be joining Greenwich-based publication Fashion Plus Magazine as their Celebrity Guest Editor for London Fashion Week next week.

This will be her debut in the fashion industry and offers an exciting opportunity for up-and-coming designers, who will have the opportunity to dress Gail in their garments throughout the week.

Gail’s role will involve attending catwalks and presentations, meeting designers and getting stuck into the world of fashion. The Fashion Plus Magazine team will be wearing clothing from their garment sponsors Goodwin Smith (men’s shoes) and TDW Clothing, among other emerging talents.

Gail Porter says

“This is a totally new thing for me and something different. It’s going to be exciting to work with emerging up-and-coming designers and see what’s on trend. It’s an important step for both Fashion Plus Magazine but also, I think for Scotland, as previously we’ve focused mostly on the manufacturing and materials used, rather than the fashion. It’ll be interesting to work in such a fast-paced environment and celebrate the creative talent London is home to. I’m looking forward to it!”

Alexander Barnes, CEO & Editor-in-Chief at Fashion Plus Magazine says,

It’s exciting to have Gail on our team this London Fashion Week – this marks an important moment in both our development as a new publication and the unification of British talents. London is a hub of creativity and is known internationally for its opportunities, which we are hoping to extend through working with designers such as TDW Clothing and Goodwin Smith, who will be sponsoring our team this season.”

Upon request, London Mayor Boris Johnson refused to comment on the importance of up-and-coming talents and what London has to offer for the fashion industry.
